Brief overview of the second part of the show year 2013
Zeus, Enzo, Ronin and Zorro was shown sparingly in the ring this year.
Zeus (Ch Keystone's Blue Lava) took Best of Bred 4 of the 5 times he went into the ring.
Enzo (Ch Brenfor's Ring O' Fire at Keystone) did particularly well and placed number 66 amongst the 100 top show dogs in South Africa for 2013. Quite a feat considering Enzo was campaigned very sparingly.
Zorro (Keystone's Black Lava) did not attend many shows either, and as a 10 month old puppy took numerous BPIG awards, BPIS3 twice, BPISS and RBOB. We are very pleased with his progress!
Ronin (Ch Keystone's Knight In Blue) was awarded the title KUSA National Schnauzer 2013 and moved on to greener pastures in New Zealand - he is now living with Denise Breen.
Keystone also took a break from advertising their dogs on show websites and magazines this year (to ensure that our results were not due to a “relentless advertising campaign”). Seems like complete absence of punting our show dogs have not made any negative impact what-so-ever at all to the results for the year since the overall results compared most favorably to 2012 where we did place a couple of adverts.
So in short... Thank you to all the Kennel Clubs for a very pleasant show year all round! We appreciate your labours of love!!! And to Reinette Ludike, Brenda Fortes, Pixie Mitchley, Louise Thompson well you guys are awesome!!!
Looking forward to the 2014 show year where we will also campaign sparingly due to a work load and a couple of planned litters!

2013, the 1st half - more like a holiday!
After the awesome year we had in 2012 we decided to start the first half of 2013 a little quieter on the show front. We are taking a break from all the traveling and the garden needed some pruning, tuning and planting!
Zeus (Ch & Int Ch Keystone's Blue Lava) also needed a break from the ring after raking in just about every top award available to him! And his boys, Enzo and Ronin need some time to grow up and have been relaxing at home, alternating being in the ring and attaining their championship status. Pups are too young to show the first half of the year, but we are really looking forward to a fun filled second half of the year. In the meantime Enzo has taken his Boy Zorro under his wing and is hopefully sharing some tips on showmanship with him... lets see what will be the outcome of this!
Zeus will be back for a couple of shows - being the Goldfields Dog Of The Year Qualifier for 2013 - which is good enough excuse to haul the boy back into the ring and then the others will take over for the remainder of the year.
